SHIrJEH - Feature documentary
I worked as a one-man documentary unit on the feature film "Drown" (2019), producing twenty commercial BTS videos and a 70-minute standalone behind-the-scenes documentary over 65 shooting days. My work focused on capturing key moments of the cast and creative team with distinct visual approaches. "Drown" premiered at the Fajr International Film Festival, earning 12 nominations and winning 5 major awards.
RAHE SAD SALEH - archival feature documentary
I collaborated with the National Bank of Iran on the feature documentary "One Hundred Years Path", a project that traces a century of turbulent contemporary history. I worked closely with the director as First Assistant Director and Editor, shaping the film’s structure through a year-long process of parallel writing and editing. Integrating archival material with newly produced footage, we built a fluid narrative despite the project’s historical and thematic complexity.
Someone I Didn’t Know - Television Documentary Series
My first independent directing project was the 13-episode documentary series "Someone I Didn’t Know" (2016), produced for Jam-e-Jam International Channel and later broadcast on the Iranian Documentary Channel. I oversaw the full pre-production process, developed the narrative format, directed the series, and edited all episodes. Filmed over three months, the series follows different characters as they explore the lives of prominent historical figures in search of personal answers.
Masir - Television Documentary Series
I spent six months editing the 26-episode documentary series Masir, working in parallel with production. The project became one of my most formative experiences, giving me the confidence to establish myself as a professional editor. Directed by Farhad Mokhtari and produced for Jam-e-Jam International, the series was featured in several domestic television festivals. Each 25-minute episode profiles an Iranian who has built a successful business, offering a concise yet meaningful look into their daily work and lives.
TARAz - Television Documentary Series
I began working in film editing in 2010, first as an editing assistant and later as a main editor. In 2015, I edited the eleven-episode documentary series Taraz, produced for Offogh TV, focusing on ancient and contemporary Iranian architecture. The series gained strong audience reception, particularly within the architectural community, leading to multiple re-broadcasts on additional channels.
ATLAN - Feature Drama Documentary
I began my professional career in documentary cinema with the acclaimed Iranian film Atlan (2013). As Assistant Director and Editing Assistant, I spent three years immersed in the project, gaining substantial experience in long-form documentary storytelling. The film, which follows a Turkmen horse named Ilhan and his coach’s struggle to return him to competition, screened internationally and received numerous domestic awards.
Production unfolded over six months of pre-production and nearly sixty scattered shooting days across northeastern Iran, working closely with the Turkmen community whose culture shapes the heart of the film.
